I’m Om, a fourth-year premedical student at UCF. I love posting videos to help students reach their potential, whether that’s with the MCAT, getting into medical school, or personal development.
Before leaving for my family’s trip to India this year, I had a bit of a crazy idea. I use AI learning tools like StudyFetch in my everyday life to make learning more efficient and personalized. So I started wondering, why not bring this same technology to the incredibly capable students in India?
My aunt is the principal of a school in rural India, which made the idea feel possible. On a whim, I pitched it to the wonderful team at StudyFetch. What happened next is something I’ll never forget.
I just got back from India and wanted to write this while everything is still fresh.
This trip completely changed the way I think about access to education. Thanks to the StudyFetch team, we were able to lower barriers to knowledge using the power of AI in a small village called Kedarnagar, Gujarat.
At the rural children’s school, I saw students who were sharp, curious, and motivated, but limited by infrastructure that many of us take for granted. The WiFi was spotty, learning materials were outdated, and teachers were doing the best they could with what they had.
After installing the smartboards early in the morning before students arrived, I was excited to show them what AI-powered learning tools could do. Their faces lit up when we studied arithmetic using City Run Arcade Mode, and the kids were genuinely engaged by what Spark.e had to say during quizzes. I could see the immediate impact of StudyFetch in the classroom, and the students were enthusiastic about learning each new feature.
I still receive videos of the kids playing City Run today, and I’m incredibly grateful to have had this experience.
Education should expand opportunity, not limit it. StudyFetch is just one example of how AI can scale learning to new places while still personalizing it for every curious learner.
